Durational Performance of two work weeks
“Heimat” is a private, durational Performance from 2019. I stitched the German word for Home ( or place of Belonging) into my skin and watched it slowly work its way out of my body. It took about two weeks until it was completely gone, as I watched the word transform into “He at” and then “at”. Enjoying how At is also a word that describes a location or position in the world.
